The Heart Behind Old Willow Table
Old Willow Table began with a love for creating, a belief in the power of small gestures, and a simple idea: gifts should be about more than what's inside the box.
For years, I've dreamed of creating a gifting studio where thoughtfully chosen products from artisans and small businesses come together to create something meaningful. Not just beautiful gifts, but little moments of connection.
Because sometimes we can't be there for the people we love. We can't always sit across the table, share a cup of coffee, celebrate together, or offer a hug when it's needed most.
But we can still find ways to show up.
That's the heart of Old Willow Table.
A Little About the Heart behind it
I've been a gift giver for as long as I can remember.
In high school, I made flower arrangements for people in my horticulture class. In college, I once bought someone waterproof mascara simply because she'd mentioned needing it. Another time, I gave a fellow art student a book of quotes because something about it reminded me of her and the artwork she created.
They weren't grand gestures. Just little ways of saying, "I thought of you."
Looking back, I realize that what I've always loved most about giving wasn't the gift itself. It was the opportunity to let someone know they mattered. That they were noticed, remembered, and appreciated.
My love of art and creating eventually led me to explore different ways to bring that feeling to others. About four years ago, I began dreaming of a gifting business that would combine my creativity, my love of beautiful things, and my desire to celebrate people.
Along the way, I discovered the wonderful world of independent artisans and small makers. I loved the idea of bringing their work together in thoughtful, carefully curated gifts, each one offering something special from the hands and hearts of different creators.
And slowly, Old Willow Table began to take shape.
Today, that dream includes artisan gift boxes, creative bouquets, and gifts designed around the moments we share, the people we love, and the connections we want to nurture.
Because whether it's a birthday, a celebration, a difficult season, or an ordinary Tuesday, I believe everyone deserves to feel remembered.
